The Department of Defence has announced a series of briefing sessions to inform industry about upcoming opportunities and developments for the Future Submarine Program.
The program will be the largest Defence program ever undertaken by Australia. It is a capability development, of which the design, construction and sustainment will be of unprecedented scale and complexity, and will span decades.
To meet this challenge, the Australia Government has commenced a competitive evaluation process to select an international partner from the nations of France, Germany and Japan to design and build the next generation of submarines.
These partners as part of their submissions will seek to identify opportunities for the participation of Australian industry in this $50 billion program.
To better understand these opportunities, industry is encouraged to attend an industry briefing being conducted around Australia during the month of June.
