Showcase Capability

The Commonwealth indirectly and directly engaged Noventus to provide teams for the following Submarine Engineering aligned services:
 ASC – Collins Class Submarine (SEA1439) – Combat Systems Engineering and Mechanical Engineering - designed, supported, authored and reviewed engineering related products in the Combat and Communications Systems areas with responsibilities for Combat (ESM, Tactical, Sonar), Navigation and Internal and External Submarine Communication Systems
 Defence Capability Development Group – developed ETPs, which informed the T&E Master Plans and Project Business Cases, during the Acquisition Phase of Defence Projects:
 SEA1439P6 - Collins Class Submarine - Sonar Replacement
 SEA1354P1 - Submarine Escape Rescue and Abandonment System (SERAS)
 SEA1439P5B2 - Collins Class Submarine - Communications and Electronic Warfare Improvement Program
This mitigated risk and allowed for a more streamlined and coordinated approach to T&E planning. These activities also provided the basis for identifying, highlighting and reporting:
 Critical issues that need to be resolved using T&E
 Major project risks that need to be mitigated or reduced through the application of T&E
 ASC – Collins Class Submarine Obsolescence Investigation, Reporting and Remediation – as part of the overall submarine platform program of in-service support and related engineering services, delivered:
 Modification or Redesign recommendations
 Reverse Engineering
 ASC - Collins Class Submarine – Logistics Engineering
 Analysed submarine platform systems, data and processes to determine reliability parameters and make recommendations on aspects of submarine platform design, maintenance, supportability and safety
 Developed / improved processes
