Company Overview

The BT (Beattie Transport) Group of companies with its BT Defence & Military Logistics division is an family-owned transport and logistics provider with over 45 years of experience in the Australian Transport and Logistics industry.

BT provide complete logistical support including route planning, state permits, overhead utility clearances, council approvals, pilot escorts and police escorts. Additionally, we offer offsite storage options in all capital cities. BT operate and maintain a large core fleet of over 250 pieces of equipment, including modern prime movers equipped with IVMS, floats, and specialised trailing equipment and we utilise the rail, sea and air networks to ensure optimum distribution solutions are achieved.

BT have established links directly with ADF and Defence suppliers, supporting their specialised and often unique logistical tasks. These include, but are not limited to: P1 priority movements, large volume manoeuvres, optimised uplift and delivery requirements (tilt tray, side loader, car carriers, offsite BT materials handling equipment and cranage), along with ADF personnel/security escort requirements and strictly critical timelines.

Having worked with the defence industry for a number of years, we have a working knowledge of the Standing Order Process via the Panel members, and we are intimately working with other recognised defence suppliers, supporting ADF movements with infield sustainment programs. We are committed to creating solid Defence Value Propositions that deliver performance direct to the ADF.
