To meet the highly specific needs of warships and their support vessels, we offer advanced deck systems, fouling release systems, low solar absorption exterior coatings and tank linings all designed to maximise fleet availability whilst controlling operational costs We are your partners in the shipyard - with over 800 experienced Technical Service Representatives globally (9 inn Australia alone at key locations – trained to Nace Level 2 or above), we ensure your vessel is in safe hands at newbuilding and maintenance and repair. It’s our attention to detail that makes the difference. From surface preparation to the finish coat, our TSRs are on hand to provide sound technical advice to make sure our products are applied to the highest quality standards and correct specification to ensure optimum performance of your vessel in service. Adding value to your business with our marine coatings being designed to meet both the needs of newbuilding shipyards, through enhanced process efficiency and improved productivity, quality and working environment, and the needs of ship operators by combining high levels of long term protection with reduced future maintenance costs, increasing vessel operating efficiency. We take great pride in that >85% of the coatings currently supplied by International Paint (Akzo Nobel) & used by the RAN are manufactured in Australia, increasing flexible for the Navy, with critical and much valued local content.

The company's research laboratories concentrate on both new chemistry and relevant product development. The development laboratories are strongly focused on the needs of the shipping industry backed by International Dataplan, a unique system of in-service performance monitoring.
